Troubleshooting low memory (RAM)
 

 

Identify:
A window pops up asking for closing some programs

Causes:
This problem might be caused by having low memory (RAM) in relation to the programs which are running.

Solutions:
  • Adding more random access memory (RAM) to your existing system , or upgrading your current (RAM) to a more advanced one.
  • Close the programs that uses most of the computer resources.

Troubleshooting driver software compatibility issues


 
 
 
Identify:
A message displayed on screen indicating that a device driver software was not successfully installed. (In this example the device is a printer)
Causes:
The driver software installed might not be compatible with the device (printer)
 
Solutions:
The first step is to use the troubleshooter. The troubleshooter mostly provides two options:
  • Check for latest system updates and see whether the latest driver software for the device is available or not. If the driver software exists, download and install it on your system.
     
  • If the driver software does not exist in the system updates, try to contact your device manufacturer or visit their website to see if the updated driver software for your device is available to download.
 
Troubleshooting computer start up due to a faulty hard disk drive.
