Installing an Operating System (Windows 7)

Pre installation checklist:

• Decide upon the suitable operating system to install (e.g.: Windows 7)
• Purchase a legal copy of the operating system
• Check for minimum system requirements
• Back up any important data in your current system

Post installation checklist:

• Add users (if required)
• Adjust keyboard language
• Install drivers for other devices (e.g.: Printer)
• Install an antivirus/firewall (Microsoft Security Essentials can be used for free with a licensed Windows OS)
• Check for and install the latest system updates
